Introduction
A narrow, compact bundle of nerve fibers extending along the line of attachment of the 3rd ventricle to the thalamus on each side.
Fibers originate in the septal area, the anterior perforated substance, the lateral preoptic nucleus & the medial segment ofthe globus pallidus.
It terminates posteriorly in the habenular nucleus.
