Adverse effects
- use during pregnancy may increase risk of asthma among offspring (RR=2); proton-pump inhibitors (RR=1.34), histamine-2 receptor antagonists (RR=1.57)[2]
Drug interactions
- antacids containing aspirin may be associated increased risk for bleeding[1]
