Introduction

Tradename: Urispas.

Indications

• symptomatic relief of dysuria, nocturia, suprapubic pain, urinary frequency, urinary urgency & urinary incontinence

Dosage

100-200 mg PO TID/QID

Tabs: 100 mg.

Adverse effects

• common (> 10%)
  • drowsiness, dry mouth & throat (anti-cholinergic effects)
• less common (1-10%)
  • tachycardia, palpitations, nervousness, fatigue, vertigo, headache, constipation, nausea/vomiting, hyperpyrexia
• uncommon (< 1%)
  • confusion (especially in the elderly), increased intraocular pressure, leukopenia, rash

• drug adverse effects of parasympatholytics
