distinct from Bardet-Biedl syndrome which had been called Laurence-Moon-Bardet-Biedl syndrome.

Clinical manifestations

• pigmentary retinopathy, choroidal atrophy
• hypogonadism/hypogenitalism
• mental retardation
• spastic paraplegia
• ataxia
• short stature
• no obesity
