Pathology

• expressed in some astrocytic brain tumors, astrocytomas, oligodendrogliomas, glioblastomas, gangliogliomas, primitive neuroectodermal tumors
• defects in SLITRK1 may be a cause of Gilles de la Tourette syndrome
