GTPase-activating protein for all rho subfamily proteins
formation of a complex between ras-GAP & ARHGAP5 in growth-stimulated cells may allow coupling of signalling pathways that involve ras & rho GTPases
may play a role in the reduction of the p21ras GTPase-activating potential of p120GAP
