• transcriptional activator
• DNA-binding protein that specifically recognizes sequence 5'-YAAC[GT]G-3'
• role in control of proliferation & differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells
• binds MYBBP1A
• interacts with HIPK2 & NLK
• ubiquitinated; mediated by SIAH1 & leading to its subsequent proteasomal degradation (probable)
• phosphorylated by NLK on multiple sites, which induces proteasomal degradation (putative)

• comprised of 3 domains
  • N-terminal DNA-binding domain
  • centrally located transcriptional activation domain
  • C-terminal domain involved in transcriptional repression
• contains 3 HTH myb-type DNA-binding domains
