• recruits TP53 & SP100 to PML-nuclear bodies, thus regulating TP53 activity
• binds RNA in vitro
• sumoylation is involved in interaction with PML & localization to PML nuclear bodies
• interacts with PML (via SUMO-interacting motif)
• interacts with PT53

• autoautibodies (Mj Ab) in polymyositis/dermatomyositis
