G protein-coupled receptor family C group 5 member D (GPRC5D)
Jump to navigation
Jump to search
Function
- unknown (orphan G protein-coupled receptor)
Structure
belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 3 family
Compartment
Alternative splicing
named isoforms=3
Expression
- widely expressed in the peripheral system expression pattern is high in pancreas, medium in kidney, small intestine, spleen & testis, low in lung, colon, leukocyte, prostate & thymus & not detectable in brain, heart, liver, placenta, skeletal muscle & ovary
cell surface expression of GPRC5D is significantly higher on multiple myeloma cells, compared with normal plasma cells or other immune cells[2] Pharmocology:
- talquetamab is bispecific monoclonal antibody against CD3 & GPRC5D that redirects T-cells to mediate killing of GPRC5D-expressing myeloma cells[1]
