• the universal vaccine targets the innate immune system with 3 components
  • 2 components are drugs that stimulate receptors that activate innate immune cells such as alveolar macrophages
  • the 3rd component stimulates a population of T-cells that signals the innate immune system to maintain its active state
    • the vaccine also contains an immunogenic protein from chicken eggs necessary for maintainence of innate immune system active state
