Dosage
- nasal agent delivered in 4 doses
Mechanism of action
- protects mice againts multiple pathogenic viruses & bacteria for at least 3 months by activating the innate immune system & keeping it active
- induces intrinsic capacity of respiratory epithelial cells to resist infection
- the universal vaccine targets the innate immune system with 3 components
- 2 components are drugs that stimulate receptors that activate innate immune cells such as alveolar macrophages
- the 3rd component stimulates a population of T-cells that signals the innate immune system to maintain its active state
- the vaccine also contains an immunogenic protein from chicken eggs necessary for maintainence of innate immune system active state
