Innocent heart murmur.

Epidemiology

• audible in healthy children & young adults

Clinical manifestations

• continuous murmur on auscultation of the heart
• may be heard in the right supraclavicular fossa
• may be abolished by compression over the internal jugular vein
• diastolic component of murmur may be louder than the systolic component
