Introduction
Epidemiology
- audible in healthy children & young adults
Clinical manifestations
- continuous murmur on auscultation of the heart
- may be heard in the right supraclavicular fossa
- may be abolished by compression over the internal jugular vein
- diastolic component of murmur may be louder than the systolic component
