Introduction
Collagen type 3 fiber forming loose connective tissue stroma in:
- embryonic tissue
- mesenchyme
- red pulp of spleen
- cortex & medulla of lymph nodes
- hematopoietic compartments of bone marrow
- skin
- subcutaneous tissue
- adipose tissue
- blood vessels
- synovial membrane
- uterine tissue
- granulation tissue
It is characterized by an organization as a reticular meshwork of fine filaments & an affinity for silver stains & PAS stain.
