Clinical manifestations
- generally unilateral
- scaling
- itching
- pain
- otoscopy:
- whitish debris in the external auditory canal
- inflammation of the external auditory canal
- tympanic membrane not retracted[1]
Laboratory
- fungal mycelia seen in cerumen & desquamated cells of the external auditory canal
