Introduction
Study observed higher risk of breast cancer in women who had used any antibiotic for > 500 days over 17 years.[1]
- associated with breast cancer at all levels of use[2]
- odds ratio 2.14 for all antibiotics > 500 days of use
- odds ratio 2.26 for macrolide use > 100 days of use
- risk for death with breast cancer even stronger
- maximum odds ratio 5.75
