Indications
Procedure
- a device that consists of a strap with a metal or hard plastic plug.
- the plug is placed to press inwardly on the hernia, reducing the herniated contents back into the abdomen.
Complications
- if the bowel herniates with the truss in place, the truss may strangulate or otherwise injure the bowel
- prolonged use can lead to atrophy of the spermatic cord
