Introduction
The World Falls Guidelines can identify patients at risk of falls, especially when the 3KQ are included[1]
Procedure
- 3 key questions (3KQ)
- timed get-up & go test
- severity of fall(s)
- frailty
- syncope
Interpretation
- low risk: exercise & education
- intermediate risk: not frail, no recurrent falls
- benefit for tailored exercise or physical therapy
- high risk
- comprehensive geriatric assessment
- multi-domain intervention
