Introduction
Combination of calcium & magnesium citrate, generally twice as much calcium as magnesium, i.e. 1000 mg Ca+2, 500 mg Mg+2.
Indications
- prevention of osteoporosis
- prevention of kidney stones
Dosage
Mechanism of action
- magnesium serves to minimize constipation due to calcium
- citrate is an inhibitor of urinary calcium stone formation
