Etiology
- corneal pseudodendrites are due to Herpes zoster ophthalmicus
Diagnostic procedures
- ophthalmoscopy
- examination of the cornea under blue light after fluoroscein staining
- yellow pseudodendrites have a branching appearance & appear stuck on without associated corneal ulceration
- examination of the cornea under blue light after fluoroscein staining
Differential diagnosis
- corneal dendrite
- dendrites with corneal ulceration are seen with Herpes simplex ophthalmicus
