Indications

• treatment of Zaire Ebolavirus

Dosage

400 mg injection

Adverse effects

• most common:
  • fever, tachycardia, diarrhea, vomiting, hypotension, tachypnea (these are also common symptoms of Ebolavirus infection)

• drug adverse effects of pharmaceutical monoclonal antibodies

Mechanism of action

• binds to a region of the Ebola virus envelope glycoprotein that binds to its human receptor NPC1
