Epidemiology
- American government personnel working in Havana, Cuba 2016-2017 appear to have suffered damage to various brain networks similar to concussion from exposure to an "unnatural" auditory or sensory stimulus
Clinical manifestations
from Havana Cuba patients
- 62% with dizziness, 33% with nausea, 67% with balance disorder > 3 months after exposure
- 76% with memory problems, 71% with difficulty concentrating
- 76% with visual problems, 43% had persistent hearing loss
- 86% with insomnia
