• adolescents & women who engage in sex work may have an increased risk for sexually transmitted infections, violence, incarceration, & reproductive coercion

Management

• use self-completed history form to ask whether patients have exchanged sex for money, goods, or services
• offer all appropriate cancer screenings & vaccinations
• offer more frequent healthcare visits
• consider potential need for HIV1 prophylaxis
  • HIV1 pre-exposure prophylaxis & HIV1 postexposure prophylaxis
