Etiology

Pathology

the name would imply carcinomatosis spreading through the lymphatics
lymphangitic spread of metastatic cancer
- pulmonary metastases
  - hilar lymphadenopathy & mediastinal lymphadenopathy^[1]

Radiology

high resolution chest CT if pulmomary metastases suspected
- hilar lymphadenopathy, mediastinal lymphadenopathy & interstitial lung changes in a patient treated for breast cancer^[1]
- ground glass opacification not seen^[1]
