Etiology
- livedoid vasculitis
- venous insufficiency
- vascular disease associated with diabetes mellitus
- injury to the skin of an ageing lower leg
Clinical manifestations
- polyangular or star-shaped, depressed atrophic plaques, ivory-white in color (atrophy blanche)
- prominent red dots within the scar due to enlarged capillaries
- surrounding pigmentation
