Introduction
Surgical removal of fallopian tubes & ovaries, generally in association with total abdominal hysterectomy.
Indications
- unilateral
- bilateral
- prophylactic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO), with or without hysterectomy, after completion of childbearing is the standard of care for female carriers of BRCA1 mutation or BRCA2 mutation[1]
