Introduction
Release of secreted molecule(s) from axon terminals of specific neurons in the brain into the circulating blood.
Examples:
- release of vasopressin by axon terminals of neurons within the supraoptic nucleus of the hypothalamus
- release of GnRH, CRF, TRH, & GHRH may also be considered neurosecretion
