inflammation of the seminal vesicles
Etiology
- prostatitis
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Streptococcus hemolyticus
- Escherichia coli
- Neisseria gonorrhoeae Eidmiology:
- men 20-40 years of age
Clinical manifestations
- blood in semen (hematospermia)
- lower abdominal pain
- dysuria
- fever, chills
Laboratory
Management
- antibiotics directed at causative organism
- NSAIDs
