Epidemiology

  • adolescents, young adults

Clinical manifestations

  • single or multiple sharply demarcated, hyperpigmented, nonindurated patches
  • usually on the back
  • lesions may be discrete or confluent
  • patches are marked by a slight depression of the skin, with an abrupt edge
  • consistency & feel of the affected skin remains normal[2]
