Etiology
- breast cancer(60-80%)
- lung cancer (83% local, 29% distant)
- prostate cancer (68%)
- melanoma (58%)
- ovarian cancer (48% local, 58% distant)
- colorectal carcinoma (53%)
Laboratory
- lymph node metastatic deposit.max dimension in cancer specimen
- lymph node response to neoadjuvant therapy in cancer specimen
- lymph node site of origin in cancer specimen
- lymph nodes with isolated tumor cells in cancer specimen
- lymph nodes with macrometastases in cancer specimen
- lymph nodes with micrometastases in cancer specimen
Diagnostic procedures
- some artificial intelligence computer programs can outperform pathologists in detecting lymph node metastases of breast cancer
- top-performing programs all used deep learning-based systems that utilized AI to extract meaningful patterns[1]
- AI may be more accurate than the pathologists with a time constraint & comparable to pathologists with no time limit[1]
