Function
- suppresses expression of p120RasGAP
- increases Ras activity
- increases proliferation of endothelial cells & increases their tube-formining capacity (increases angiogenesis)
- acts as an angiogenic switch by suppressing endothelial p120RasGAP expression, leading to Ras activation & neovascularization
Expression
- highly expressed in the endothelium of human tumors & hemangiomas
- undetectable in normal endothelium
