Clinical significance
Rapid HIV testing is cost-effective & improves the quality of patient care[1]. Earlier HIV1 diagnosis limits unnecessary delays in treatment & unnecessary interventions in pursuit of diagnosis.
False positives noted for rapid testing[2][3]
