• alcoholism (in men)
• schizophrenia
• right-hemisphere brain lesions
• dementia
  • Alzheimer disease
  • vascular dementia
  • dementia with Lewy bodies
  • non-demented individuals with Parkinson disease receiving dopaminergic agents (a few cases)

Management

• in patients with Parkinson disease receiving dopaminergic agents, delusions resolved after medication withdrawal
