Introduction
Visceral branches of the sympathetic trunk conveying postsynaptic sympathetic fibers from the prevertebral ganglia to the viscera located above the diaphragm, largely via the cardiac plexus, pulmonary plexus & esophageal plexus.
Visceral afferent fibers are carried in the reverse direction.
