Introduction

One of the nerves supplying the viscera.

There are 3 groups of splanchnic nerves:

• cardiopulmonary (postsynaptic, sympathetic)
• abdominopelvic (presynaptic, sympathetic)
• pelvic (presynaptic, parasympathetic)
