Introduction

Mediators of local inflammation that induce smooth muscle contraction. Anaphylatoxins C3a, C4a & C5a are peptides of ~ 75 amino-acid residues derived from proteolysis of complement C3, C4 & C5. Each contains 3 disulfide-bonds.
