Etiology
- anemia is often seen is association with:
- hypothyroidism
- Addison's disease
- hypogonadism
- panhypopituitarism
Laboratory
- complete blood count
- normochromia or hypochromia
- normocytic, but may be hypochromic
- anemia may be masked by decreased plasma volume
