Introduction
100-140 amino acid domain that function as phosphoinositide- binding domain. Many PX domains contain a proline-rich region representing an SH3-binding site. Thus SH3 docking might regulate interaction between PX domains & phosphoinositide-enriched membranes. The PX domain also contains several conserved positively charged & hydrophobic residues that may bind phosphoproteins or phospholipids.
