Introduction
The breakage of both strands of DNA (DNA double strand breaks) followed by rejoining of the fragments in new combinations.
DNA recombination is associated with DNA double strand break repair. It can occur during meiosis & during lymphocyte maturation, i.e. in the process of generating antibody & T-cell diversity.
