Function
- negatively regulates nitric oxide production by inducing NOS1 & NOS3 translocation to actin cytoskeleton & inhibiting their enzymatic activity
- interacts with NOS1 & NOS3
- phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR
Structure
- belongs to the NOSIP family
- U-box-like region is a truncated U-box domain (unknown whether it is functional or not)
Compartment
Expression
- expressed in heart, brain & lung
- present in endothelial cells (at protein level)
