• may play a role in targeting PRKCA to caveolae
• binds to PRKCA in the presence of phosphatidylserine
• up-regulated in asyncronously growing fibroblasts following serum deprivation but not following contact inhibition
• down-regulated during synchronous cell cycle re-entry
• phosphorylated on Ser
• binds phosphatidylserine (Ca+2-dependent)
• PS-binding is inhibited by phosphatidic acid & phosphatidyl- inositol
• does not bind phosphatidylcholine

cytoplasm, colocalizes with CAV1 to caveolae

• expresed in heart, lung > brain, kidney, liver, pancreas, placenta, skeletal muscle
