protein S100-A10; S100 Ca+2-binding protein A10; calpactin-1 light chain; calpactin I light chain; p10 protein; p11; cellular ligand of annexin II (S100A10, ANX2LG, CAL1L, CLP11)

Function
- light subunit of calpactin 1
- because S100A10 induces the dimerization of ANXA2/p36, it may function as a regulator of protein phosphorylation; the ANXA2 monomer is the preferred target (in vitro) of tyrosine kinase(s)
- does not appear to bind Ca+2
- interacts with SCN10A
Structure
- contains 2 ancestral Ca+2 site related to EF-hand domains that have lost their ability to bind Ca+2
- belongs to the S-100 family
