Function
- binds specifically to phosphatidylinositol-3,4-diphosphate (Ptdins(3,4)P2), but not to other phosphoinositides
- may recruit other proteins to the plasma membrane (putative)
- binds MPDZ & PTPN13 (putative)
Structure
contains 2 PH domains
Compartment
- cytoplasm (putative), cell membrane, nucleus
- locates to the plasma membrane after treatments that stimulate production of Ptdins(3,4)P2 (putative)
Expression
- highly expressed in heart, kidney, spleen & peripheral blood leukocytes
- detected at lower levels in brain, skeletal muscle, colon, thymus, liver, small intestine, placenta & lung
