Introduction
Stenosis of the left main coronary artery
Pathology
- affect interventricular septum & anterior & lateral walls of the left ventricle
Management
- 50% stenosis is clinically significant & places the patient as a candidate for CABG or PCI
- CABG preferred over PCI[3]
- PCI with coronary stenting with similar outcomes to CABG for left main disease[1][2] (see PCI vs CABG)
