Introduction
Due to alternative splicing of the Fas gene, 5-10% of of the Fas transcripts are deleted of a 63 nucleotide region containing the transmembrane domain, thus encoding a soluble and secreted form of Fas (Fas delta TM), potentially able to neutralize FasL.
