Introduction
Clinical manfestations:
- clinical manifestations that are similar to those of schizophrenia but with a shorter duration of symptoms (< 6 months)
- psychotic symptoms 1-6 months
- negative symptoms
- cognitive impairment
- memory impairment, inattention, impaired concentration
- mood symptoms (not required)
- depression & anxiety may be noted
- functional impairment
- deterioration of social, occupational & academic functioning
