Etiology
- seen in association with sarcoidosis (pathognomonic)
Epidemiology
Pathology
- non-caseating granulmonas with minimal lymphocytic infiltration
Clinical manifestations
- granulomatous inflammation of skin around the nares
- indurated blue to purple, swollen shiny lesions on nose, cheeks, lips, ears, fingers, & knees
- painless[7]
Complications
- 75% have pulmomary sarcoidosis[7]
Management
- high doses of corticosteroids are effective but are associated with steroid-related toxicity
- infliximab may be effective[2]
