Epidemiology
- white, middle-aged, overweight, hard-working men
Pathology
- no increase in erythrocyte mass
- relative dehydration
Clinical manifestations
- hypertension
- anxiety
- florid appearance
- NO splenomegaly
Laboratory
- complete blood count (CBC)
- NO leukocytosis
- hematocrit increased (50-60%)
