Introduction
Evaluates delusions, paranoid ideation, hallucinations, aggression, activity, affective state, anxiety, phobias, & disturbances in circadian rhythms.
The interviewer rates each of 25 items on a 4-point scale, based on information obtained from caregiver(s) & from clinical observation.
Disadvantages
- dependent upon history & rater expertise
- emphasizes delusions
- lacks sufficient items on mood, agitation & other neuropsychiatric manifestations of Alzheimer's disease
