Introduction
A triangular space at the upper part of the thigh.
Bounded by:
- sartorius
- adductor longus muscle
- inguinal ligament
- floor is formed by:
- iliopsoas (laterally)
- pectineus muscle (medially)
Contents:
- branches of the femoral nerve are distributed within the femoral triangle
- the femoral vessels (artery & vein) bisect the triangle, which enter the adductor canal at the apex of the triangle
