Clinical manifestations

• pallor
• nausea/vomiting
• weakness
• malaise

Management

• anticholinergic agents (before travel)
  • scopolamine (Transderm Scop, Hyoscine)
  • diphenhydramine (Benadryl)
  • hydroxyzine (Atarax, Vistaril)
  • meclizine (Antivert)
  • prochlorperazine (Compazine)
  • promethazine (Phenergan)
• acetazolamide (Diamox) for high-altitude motion sickness
