Introduction
A neuron within the spinal cord, rhombencephalon or mesencephalon characterized by an axon the leaves the central nervous system to directly innervate striated muscle or synapse on a preganglionic neuron that innervates smooth muscle or secretory gland.
Pathology
- lesions result in lower motor neuron signs
